Development of a new type of cutting system for lawn care
Development and design of an innovative lawn mower blade with interchangeable blades. The cutting system consists of three aluminium blade holders, which are offset to each other in terms of angle and height. The hardened blades are interchangeable and fastened with clamping screws.
The cutting edges are curved and allow a "pulling cut" similar to a scythe. Cutting instead of "chopping" as with conventional steel knives. The holders, which are also curved, create an upward suction effect and straighten blades of grass. The three blade arms, which are graduated in height, ensure a multi-stage cut even on long lawns, resulting in very small clippings that can simply remain on the lawn as mulch.
The system is designed as a retrofit or upgrade kit for conventional mowers of all sizes.
