Who am I?
Daniel Holtwiesche - born 1962 in Düsseldorf
Education:
Discontinued studies due to self-employment, founding a start-up and family planning.
As the founder of several tech and software start-ups, you inevitably become a project manager, now with well over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience.
As a designer, engineer and product developer, I have created solutions for a wide range of industries, very different technical requirements and tasks. From self-propelled mining trucks to hi-fi devices, software and tennis rackets.
My in-depth knowledge of practical product development, product design, physics and technology enables me to take a holistic view of projects. I use iterative methods to develop creative solutions - independently or as part of a team. I am always enthusiastic about innovative ideas and drive them forward with energy and perseverance.
One more thing: ART
As the son of the painter, sculptor and artist Hanns Holtwiesche (graduate of the Düsseldorf Art Academy, master student of Prof. Mataré and Prof. K.O.Goetz) and grandson of the painter, sculptor and former art professor Bartholomäus Marks, I grew up with art and the far-reaching issues of design and style formation.
It’s no surprise, then, that despite my strong scientific and technical orientation, I have always kept design – meaning the artistic-aesthetic creation in connection with construction – firmly in focus.
As a final consequence, my next start-up is currently being founded: "Me as an artist"
